WDHB appoints non-board committee members

The Whanganui District Health Board’s first meeting for the year included the appointment of non-board members to the committees governed by the board.
 
Selected for the experience, expertise, skill mix and personal interest they bring to their respective committees, non-board members will serve a term that ends on 1 March 2014.
 
The committees they were appointed to include the Community and Public Health (CPHAC), Disability Support (DSAC), Hospital Advisory (HAC) the Risk and Audit and, the centralAlliance Committees.
 
With the exception of new member Frank Bristol, previous non-board CPHAC and DSAC committee members Kim Austin, Alan Mangan and Barbara Ball have been reappointed. In addition to them, subject matter experts are to be given the opportunity to actively participate.
 
Similarly, the Risk and Audit Committee’s two non-board members Michael Sewell and Anne Kolbe, and the HAC non-board members Kim Austin, Julie Nitschke, Michael Sewell and Sharlene Tapa-Mosen were reappointed for a further term.
 
WDHB Chair Kate Joblin and Deputy Chair Phil Sunderland will sit across the WDHB and MidCentral Boards that make up the centralAlliance Committee. Philippa Baker-Hogan and Allan Anderson are Whanganui’s two additional members on this committee.
