Service Description
Two multi-disciplinary teams based at Marton and Wanganui provide services in the community for people with a mental illness aged between 20 and 65. This includes the Psychiatric Emergency and Home Treatment Team, Assertive Outreach Team, Day Services and follow up services following discharge from the in-patient unit.

The Community Mental Health Centre also houses the Alcohol and Drug and Te Hunga Piki Te-Ora teams.

The Wanganui Community Mental Health Team provides follow-up services to the Ohakune and Raetihi while the Marton Community Mental Health Team, Co-ordinated by Judy McConachie, provides follow-up services to Waiouru and Taihape.
