Adult Acute Inpatient Services
Te Awhina is a 15-bed acute in-patient unit for people aged 17 to 65 who suffer from an acute mental illness.

Visiting times are from 3.30pm to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 8pm Saturday and Sunday.

Day Services
Although sited in the in-patient building, this service is part of Wanganui Community Mental Health Services and provides individual, group-based clinical interventions and rehabilitation programmes for in-patients at Te Awhina to facilitate early discharge and treatment planned follow up of outpatients.
