The Provider Division provides secondary and community specialist health services including:

• Community and Rural Services
• Surgical and Support Services
• Acute and Inpatient Services
• Maori Health
• Mental Health

A comprehensive range of diagnostic and commercial services such as radiology, laboratory, laundry, medical records, building maintenance and finance supports these services. Services are provided principally from four locations:

• Wanganui Hospital (base centre)
• Rangitikei Health Centre
• Taihape Rural Health Centre
• Waimarino Health Centre

The Provider Division operates through a service agreement with the Planning and Funding Division, but also provides other services by agreement with other organisations like the Accident Compensation Corporation.
