Welfare and wellbeing support

Welfare and financial support are available for members of our rohe during this Covid-19 Omicron response.

Updated Monday 28 March 2022

If you or members of your whānau have COVID-19 concerns call Healthline for free, 24/7 on 0800 358 5453.

We are currently establishing a virtual clinic that will be available daily from 8am to 8pm, and will publish details when finalised.

Support for those dealing with COVID-19 is being led by our community primary and welfare hubs.  Your health care needs will be met and managed by your GP and if you don’t have a GP our virtual clinic. If you need welfare support - like kai or supplies delivered while you are isolating, that help will come from iwi organisations and government departments like Ministry of Social Development (MSD).

Please do not be whakamā/embarrassed to reach out, all of our community support teams are here to help you and understand this is a difficult time. Many community organisations, for example church groups, also have support available for their communities.

All requests for welfare support are treated with respect and your privacy is assured. We all want to see you and your whānau well and recovered. By utilising the support that is available, it can help to take away some of the stress of being unwell and let you concentrate on getting better.
