Transport information for our communities during COVID-19

Horizons Regional Council public transport

Horizons Regional Council public transport networks have mostly returned to regular timetables. Please see their bus notices page for full timetable information.

Key Horizons bus information under the Covid Protection Framework

  • All Beecard passengers are to use the rear door when boarding the bus (only applies to buses with a rear door).
  • Please scan the QR Code using the NZ Covid Tracer app on each bus you take.
  • Services will operate to their normal schedule across traffic light settings
  • Under the Red setting, face coverings are mandatory on all of our services, as per Ministry of Health guidance. For more information, please see the MoH Website. Some of our drivers and passengers may be medically exempt from wearing a mask
  • Vaccine Passes will not be required on any of public transport services in our region
  • If you can, please use a registered Bee Card to pay for your fare, and top up your card online
  • If you pay with cash, we recommend paying with an exact fare where possible to limit contact with our drivers
  • Practice good hygiene and stay home if you are unwell.

Please be kind, and be patient. We appreciate your understanding.
