Senior doctors and dentists at Health NZ public hospitals and health services plan to strike for 48 hours on Tuesday 23 September and Wednesday 24 September. Emergency departments will be open for emergencies only. GPs, after-hours and urgent care clinics, and other community health providers are not affected by the strike and will continue to operate as normal.

Services we provide
Our community physiotherapists provide services including:
- assessments of your current health condition and how you are coping at home
- a personal rehabilitation programme
- advice and education for patients and carers
- assessment for, and possibly providing walking aides or other equipment that helps you to remain independent
- chest physiotherapy, including advice and education
- lymphoedema management.
Outpatient physiotherapy provides assessment and treatment to improve function and activity after:
- surgery
- acute injury
- a chronic condition gets worse
- a neurological event happens or gets worse.
We also help with conditions including:
- respiratory conditions
- ongoing rehabilitation of injuries (ACC related)
- work-related injuries
- long-standing injuries or chronic pain
- respiratory conditions (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hyperventilation syndrome, bronchiectasis)
- ongoing neurological conditions
- continence management.
