  We have a pharmacist on-call after hours, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  Our Therapy Service comprises a Child Development Service, Social Work Service, Physiotherapy Service, Occupational Therapy Service, Dietitics Service and Speech Language Therapy Service.

ATR Ward/Acute Stroke Unit

Whether you are a patient or visitor in our Assessment, Treatment & Rehabilitation Ward (ATR)/Acute Stroke Unit you will notice we use a 'team nursing' model for providing you with the best possible care.

 
Theatre Services

Whanganui Hospital's Theatre Services Unit includes pre-admission clinics, a day of surgery unit, endoscopy clinics, operating theatres and a post-anaesthetic care unit (recovery room).
