July is the month for Pink Ribbon breakfasts, the Breast Cancer Foundation’s biggest fundraising effort.

Postponed from earlier in the year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the breakfasts are a chance to enjoy a social event while supporting education and research into breast cancer.

And this week Whanganui sees a Pink Ribbon breakfast with a difference – an evening of Cocktails and Canapes at Mint café at the back of Majestic Square on Sunday.

The event starts at 5pm and, as well as cocktails and canapes, features singer Tim Davies and an impressive auction which includes a glass piece by artist Katie Brown and numerous other donations by local artists and businesses.
